We combine two rare elements—-leather handcrafting ability and fashion patternmaking—-to create pieces that are more complex, interesting, and better fitting than what other shops can deliver.
At the same time, our piece are handmade in the United States using the very finest American-tanned heritage leather.
It is easy enough to find one skill set or the other—-to find an excellent leather-crafter or to find leather jackets online (or in fancy boutiques) that are interesting-looking but poorly made—-from thin leather with grain that is merely stamped and patina that is sprayed on.
But to find both heritage handcraft and the ability to create designs that are utterly unique and perfectly fitted? We think that we stand alone.
Each jacket that we make is completely unique. You tell us what you want, and we work with you to sketch out ideas and to source leathers and trims. Next we cut and sew a mock-up of the jacket from cotton and mail this to you to try on. You send us your comments and digital pics and we create a leather jacket that is so stunning that it is even beyond the world of dreams. . . .
The pics show a couple of our most recent pieces. A knee-length dispatch jacket that is made from American Horsehide and lined in Black Watch tartan by Harris Tweeds.
A deerskin vest in a cut that is somewhere between the Old West and Science Fiction. And a horsehide Barnstormer jacket with a shearling collar.
