But nowhere is the unique quality of handwork more obvious than in our westernwear. We draft all of our artwork directly onto the patterns, using a pencil, and all of the blanket-stitching and chain-stitching is done by hand, one stitch at a time, so that (unlike with modern computerized embroidery) each stitch follows the contour and direction of the stem, flower, or butterfly that we are embroidering.
